For years I have worked in Finance, creating and monitoring budgets for small and large studios alike.  I was busy planning and forecasting the studio's future and somehow forgot my own.  I had gone through a divorce, my credit was devasted and I was not sure if my retirement savings were healthy enough. 

I remember my mother reaching retirement age but being unable to retire financially.   I clearly was not taught to be financially savvy at home and we are not taught in school, so I made it my business to design the life I wanted and then build the financial structure to support it.  

Life changes all the time, so a plan that was able to pivot with wage increases and decreases was important to me as I was a freelancer.  

The information that I amassed during this time is invaluable so I shared it with my son when he was fresh out of school and many other small businesses in the media industry as a consultant.  

Now, in this time of economic ambiguity, I am taking on individual clients so I can coach and give them the tools to master their own financial success.
